Fluffy Mutt Grooming Salon has a goal to provide the safest, most enjoyable grooming experience for you and your pets. We strive to maintain a clean grooming salon and provide the highest standards possible with our grooming and the products we use. Below are some policies we have developed to ensure the safety and happiness of your pets while in our care.
At Fluffy Mutt, we operate by appointment. To secure your appointment, we require all customers to have a credit card on file. If you cancel your appointments with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of your scheduled service.
All dogs are required to be up to date on rabies vaccinations at the time of grooming. Please e-mail a copy or bring the vaccination record with you for each appointment.
Dogs are not required to be up to date on the bordetella vaccination, but it is recommended as dogs may be in close proximity during time in the kennels before and after grooming, or while drying.
Matted coats can cause a variety of skin & health problems. Matted fur also pulls and binds, causing pain to your pet when they move or lay on mats. If your dog’s fur is matted, it may need to be shaved extremely short to the skin and may show signs of skin irritations and sores due to matting. Where feasible, we will work to demat/brush out the dog’s coat, but only when it would not cause excessive pain and suffering to attempt to do so. Your dog may be nicked because the groomer has to work so closely to the skin to remove the matted fur. Our groomers are very careful, but the possibility of injury exists. Fluffy Mutt Grooming Salon is not liable for any medical problems that may occur and/or be uncovered during the dematting process.
Dematting is a time consuming process and extra charges may apply at a rate of $1/minute. Establishing an appropriate care routine between groomings is essential to prevent matting.
In order to maintain a clean and flea free facility, any dog with fleas will be bathed with flea shampoo as soon as a flea is detected. This service will be done at an additional charge of $5.
Our hours are 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Tuesday - Saturday. If you fail to pick up your dog before closing, you will be charged a late fee of $1/minute.
We ask that you provide us with your veterinarian's information, not only to verify vaccinations, but also in case of emergency. In the unlikely event of an emergency, if we are unable to make it to your veterinarian and we are unable to get in touch with you, we will bring your dog to the nearest veterinarian's office.
We have the right to refuse your dog for any of the following reasons.
